Principals of service. We are founded on the principles of exacting customer service, professionalism in business, excellence in craftsmanship, and serving clients with integrity. Schmid & Rhodes has been in business in Knoxville, Tennessee since the late 1980's. At our core, is the pride we take in our relationships with each other, with our subcontractors, and with our clients. Building enduring relationships is our goal.

We listen. We endeavor to strike a flexible balance between time, quality, and budget for each client. Client communication tools, specifically in the areas of budgeting and scheduling, allow the client to end up with the exact budget and home they want on a time line they understand. This is a direct reflection of how our systems work in harmony with our vision.

Custom homes. Preservation and renovations of fine and historic homes are passions of ours. Through close association with many architects, we are able to provide our custom home clients with the plan that is perfect for them. With historic home preservation we are challenged to preserve the original look and intent of the designer. And renovating a fine home is extremely satisfying to us.

Service and maintenance. Service is paramount to what we do. Our relationship with our clients does not end when the home is complete, but is only strengthened as we enter into the service and maintenance portion of our commitment. We constantly look for better ways in which to serve our clients.
